XML introduction
XML revolutionizes the web, e-commerce and almost every type of data organization. The standard XML facilitates the exchange of data across applications. Even the transfer of data between organizations and industries can be achieved with XML. Many new formats such as RDF or BMECat are even based on XML. With XSLT, XML files can be converted from one format to another and formatted. Isolated solutions can finally be integrated. e-Commerce, Office and CAD software already support the universal data format XML. During the course, you will learn how to apply XML and XSLT. You will learn how to create data and document type definitions in a structured way. The basics will be conveyed using clear examples and then further developed in practical exercises. You will develop your own templates for document types, such as a product catalog, and learn how to use the capabilities of XML and XSLT to your benefit.
