Still thinking, or are you already doing? You are interested in the various techniques and methods used in agile development processes. You want to understand them and be able to put them to work successfully to optimize your requirements engineering practices. User stories, epics, features, and backlog items are outstanding tools for agile project management. Focused communication at the right time, lean documentation, simple structures – this training session will help you leverage synergies and, in addition to the fundamentals, you will learn also to work extensively on practical implementation. The training serves as preparation for completing IREB “[email protected] Primer” certification.The proctored certification test will be held on the second day of the seminar. It takes 40 minutes (22 multiple choice questions). Participants who pass the test will receive a certificate. The costs of the test are included in the price.

- You will receive training according to the “[email protected] Primer” IREB curriculum and receive optimum preparation for the test
- You will be familiar with techniques for using user stories in capturing, documenting, coordinating and managing requirements.
- You will be familiar with various options for using user stories for lightweight scaling in complex projects (programs, product lifecycle).
- You will understand the importance of values and attitudes to requirements engineering in various agile development processes.

- Artifacts and techniques in agile requirements engineering
- What are user stories, and how can they be used in an agile context?
- User stories in connection with a definition of ready, a definition of done, and in conjunction with quality management in traditional methods
- Organizational aspects in agile requirements engineering: roles and the necessary competencies
- Acceptance criteria, modeling, story mapping, and other helpful tools
- Cutting stories, organizing backlogs and requirements documentation
- User stories in the product lifecycle and in program management
- Agile principles, values, and attitudes

Methods
After getting to know methods and techniques by means of examples, you will apply the learned material to a case study in working groups. We will then discuss and analyse the solutions developed in the different working groups.

Requirements
- Practical experience in project management, as a business analyst, requirements engineer, or in test or quality management
- Experience in an agile environment is recommended
- An IREB CPRE Foundation Level certificate is a plus, but not required
