More and more, the open source database PostgreSQL is becoming an alternative to Oracle databases for many database users. Both are relational database systems, but of course there are differences. In our course you will learn how to install, configure and administer PostgreSQL databases in daily operations. The course focuses on comparing both systems – you will learn all about similarities and differences and of course how to migrate an Oracle database to PostgreSQL.
About 25% of the course consists of practical exercises in which you can deepen what you have learned directly in practice.
