The course “Oracle Multitenant” provides an introduction to the “Container Database Architecture” of the Oracle database. This architecture was introduced by Oracle with the release 12c of the database and in the long run, this architecture will replace the classic architecture of Oracle databases and become the new standard. Therefore, it is important to familiarize yourself with the new architecture at an early stage.
You get to know the differences to classical architecture; you will learn how to create, copy and move the new Pluggable Databases (PDBs) and familiarize you with the changes in daily operations.
The course covers the basics of the new architecture as well as the new features added with Oracle Releases 18c and 19c.
About 25% of the course consists of practical exercises in which you can deepen what you have learned directly in practice.
