The course “Oracle Architecture and Internals for Advanced DBAs” builds on the know-how from the course “Oracle Architecture and Internals (O-AI)”, and is the second part of a sound training course in the Oracle architecture. Both OLTP and OLAP systems use special performance, administration, and availability features, whose advantages and limitations are taught and demonstrated on this course. However, “normal” databases benefit from these extended features in day-to-day operation as well.

- provide a basis for deciding which Oracle functionality is the right one for which purpose,
- create a basis for optimizing databases (e.g. by using an extended indexing and optimizer functionality, or with partitioning)
-
Target group
- Database administrators
- Experienced Oracle programmers/analysts/warehouse designers whose task areas lie in the administration and physical design of databases
-
