Regardless of whether the data source is sensors, social media or Internet of Things (IoT), event streams and the rapid and their efficient handling are becoming ever more important. Today the storage of these large event streams is no longer an art; from HDFS to NoSQL and RDBMS there are various options, some simpler to scale than others. But when you want to respond to a situation more quickly, then it is not effective to save the data first and then analyze it. The analytic operations must be run directly on the event stream when the data is still in motion, which is also called „Data in Motion“.
This course covers the basics of Stream Processing and Stream Analytics and then shows which frameworks can be used to implement a modern Stream Processing solution.
